Well I am on my way home to Florida. I had a lot of fun in Texas and learned a lot of cool things. The family I stayed with are ready to host another Stanley so if anyone wants to send one there I think they will have a lot of fun too.
I miss my friends in Florida. And I will miss my Texas pals.
See y'all soon!!!
Be blessed

World Down Syndrome Day
Did you know that every year on March 21st it is World Down Syndrome Day? Do you know why it is on March 21st? March 21st or 3/21. Another name for Down Syndrome is Trisomy 21. Tri means 3. So kids with down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. We all have chromosomes but most of us have 2 copies of each for a total of 46 and kids with down syndrome have 47! Its a lot of technical stuff but that's the jest of it.
So every year all over the USA people celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. This year was the Beck families first year. Mine too!!! We all had a super fun time. I got to meet lots of cool kids. Some had down syndrome and others didn't. Some kids could talk, run, jump and play and others couldn't. What I saw though were just kids. I didn't see their disability just them. Some of their mommies and daddies loved having them so much they adopted more kids with down syndrome from all over the world.

I got to have pizza and cake. Miss Ashlee was busy so she didn't get a lot of pictures of me, but she got a lot of pictures of my new friends I made.

Now its time for me to come home. I can't wait to see you all. I am bringing presents!!! It has been a lot of fun here in Texas but the weather is starting to get hot so it is time to go!

Oh and before you go check out this really cool video.
See y'all soon!!!

Building!
Things have been really crazy here. Very busy. Miss Ashlee had an accident and had to go to the hospital for surgery. She had to stay in the hospital a really long time. It was Trinity's 11th birthday on Valentines Day and we had cake at the hospital so her mama could be part of the celebrating. It was an ice cream cake and tasted so good. Noah who isn't 2 yet had 3 whole pieces!!!!

So we got to spend a lot of time with Mr. Paul. He stayed home from work to take care of the kids. While he was home we made a dining room table and 2 benches!! I got to help!!

We are all done with the table and benches now. Miss Ashlee is getting better and better and her and Mr Paul are building a high chair. All the kids have a blast helping. I will be sure to show y'all how it turns out. Soon I will be coming back to see you. Have you missed me?

Homeschooling
Today I was learning a little bit about how the Beck kids go to school. They have school in their house. Its called Homeschool. Some of their subjects are on the computer and some their mom teaches them. They learn about all kinds of things. Trinity and Charidy have Math, Science, Language Arts, Spanish and History online. They get worksheets to do on the presidents of the United States and also they study the Bible. Sarie and AJ have school online too. Then they do worksheets that helps them write and also Bible stories. Can you believe that all the kids have never been to a public school ever?!!!
For PE or gym class they do fun activities outside when it is nice or they play Wii sports when it is too cold to play outside. At lunch time their mom makes them their lunch. Some days Trinity makes sandwiches for everyone. They like to go to museums and even do really cool science experiments.
This week they are learning about the Depression era from the American Girl movie Kit Kittridge. They also are going to learn about volcanoes by making one. They even watched a Dolphin tale and learned all about sharks and dolphins and science! It was cool. Movies arent always how they learn. In fact their mom just let them watch those two movies to do the worksheets with them usually they do some online classes and worksheets and work books.
One day they all made bouncy balls. The girls learn math, fractions and division and measuring just from cooking. They don't usually do school all day long either. Some times it doesnt start for the older kids until the younger kids are down for a nap. It seems like a lot of hard work but super fun. I am learning so much here!
Have a great day!

More adventures!
Sorry I havent had time to write lately. The family I am staying with is very busy getting ready for another child. While Paul and Ashlee were away learning about how to care for a new child I got to go spend 3 days with some awesome people! The kids and I went to stay with a family who has 7 kids! Yep 7! And they are adopting 2 more kids!
We had so much fin we didnt even think to take any pictures. Bummer! I hope we get to spend more time with them before I go back to Florida. One little girl there named Reagan sometimes uses a wheel chair. She said her legs don't work, but that didn't stop her from playing! 4 other kids there have down syndrome and one is deaf. So I got to learn sign language to talk to him! All the kids were super fun. We played on a swing they had in their house and they even had a ball pit! Then one day we all wore our PJs and had a movie day. It was so much fun. I learned that even though some of the kids appeared different we were all the same. We are all kids! We all love to do kid things! I have never had such fun!
Today we are all getting back into the swing of things after our busy week last week. We thought it would be really fun to make chocolate covered pretzels. Oh they were so yummy! I had a lot of fun making them too.
First Miss Ashlee got all the ingredients we needed.
Pretzel Sticks
Semi sweet chocolate chips
wax paper
bowl
spoon

Next we dumped a bunch of chocolate chips in the bowl and stuck it in the microwave on 60% for 2 minutes.

When the microwave beeped the bowl was very hot so Miss Ashlee said she better get it. She very carefully stirred the chocolate with a spoon.

Then she used the spoon to put the chocolate on the pretzels and set them on the wax paper to dry.

After that they are good to eat! Yum!

Hope y'all are having a great week!!!

Let's Go Fly A Kite!
Today was such a nice day. It was very warm so we all packed up the car and headed to the park. While we were at the park Ms. Ashlee spread the blanket out and got all the food out. Mr. Paul got the kites out of the packages and set them up. It was so much fun flying kites and eating lots of yummy things outside. Take a look!
Do you like flying kites? What kind of kite do you have?

Have a blessed day!!
